The Falconry Exhibition is a hand on experience with the birds, by this you will be able to hold a trained bird throughout the entire course and learn what it feels like to relate with a bird one on one. In this program, you'll learn a broader sense of what it means to be a falconer and will get to understand some of the responsibilities of owned and taking care of a bird of prey.
*Please note that hours spent in this program are not eligible for the falconer apprentice license. To obtain this permit, you must follow the 1 year training. Further information on this subject is available by clicking on the «Falconry Course» tab from the «Program» menu button.*
With this, you will discover if you are suited to becoming a Falconer.
-History: The basic history of Falconry.
-Equipment: The essential equipment used for falconry.
-Trail walk: Walking in the trails with a trained hawk.
-Handeling: How to handle the bird on the glove.
-Training: Methods of training the bird.
-Diet: The Birds Diet.
-Anatomy: Learning the anatomy of the bird.
- Flight: Handeling the bird in flight.
- Birds: Lists of birds used for falconry.
- Diseases: Demonstration of diseases that affects birds and their lifestyle condition.
- Species:Certain species of birds that is right to use in the first few years of falconry.
- Hunting: The lifestyle of raptors in the wild, and how to hunt with a trained bird.
- Laws: A quick over view procedure through the laws of falconry provided by the Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs.
The event is open between June 1st and September 30th and takes place in the centre. It lasts from 12h to 16h approximately. Please bring outdoor clothes and your dinner. Any child under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is open from May 1st – October 20th. Once you fill out the registration form and send it by email, you'll receive an email providing available registration dates.
*Maximum of 8 Participants are allowed per session.
*If you are a family/group with more than 8 participants, please inform us of this fact on the registration form linked above and we will arrange a private group reservation.
Considering this is an outdoor event and we will be walking in trails please be sure to bring proper outdoor wear, food and water for lunch. Please fill out the registration form at least 72 hours advance, as reservations do fill up quickly.
If weather is not permitting, you will be notified ahead of time to re-schedule to a more suitable time. Please notify us as soon as possible, in case of any cancellations so that we may arrange accordingly. You must cancel at least 36-48 hours in advance in order to receive a full refund. All last minute cancellations are non-refundable.
