For schools, day camps and any other academic learning context, the pedagogical and educational presentation introduces the students of your groups and classes to falconry and birds of prey from Quebec, Canada and America. Students will be able to learn about bird species, their habitat, their food, their behavior as well as various notions on the lifestyle specific to each species. In addition, they will also have a brief overview of the art of falconry. At the end of the workshop, everyone is invited for a souvenir photo with the falconer and his bird.
The presentation includes:
-Characteristics: A learning of the basic notions on the anatomy, the behavior and the biology of the bird of prey as well as its way of life, its environment, its manners, its growth, its moult and its diet. -Falconry: A brief overview of the history of falconry through the ages until today. -Equipment: A basic presentation of essential equipment used in falconry. -Feathers: A species recognition activity according to the identification of feathers.

To book the educational and educational presentation for your group (s), please fill in the registration form accessible via the link above. Once the registration is completed and sent to the center by email, you will receive confirmation of the desired date or, if applicable, the choice of dates available for your presentation.
It is strongly recommended that the registration form be completed at least 72 working hours before the desired date given the high demand for the activity in season; a last minute booking may incur additional charges.
If you wish to offer the presentation to more than one group, simply mention it in the form.
It is the customer's responsibility to provide a sufficiently large space with tables so that the falconers can make the presentation ergonomically and can move easily with the birds.
In case of bad weather conditions, you will be contacted by email or phone in advance so that the presentation can be moved indoors or a new date is agreed between the client and Northern Wings. In case the availability does not match your schedule, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations must be confirmed thirty-six (36) to forty-eight (48) hours before the event for a refund; any last minute cancellation is non-refundable.

Our falconers are trained in first aid and have a first aid kit at all times. *
